Cinematic Storytelling and Advocacy Video Production

Cinematic journeys that raise awareness, honor culture, and inspire action.

Liina Beverage

Liina’s founders set out to reinvent spirulina — an ancient Mayan superfood — by finally making it taste good. They asked SMP Media to follow them on a journey across Mexico City and San Diego, tracing spirulina’s origins from the canals of Xochimilco to the steps of ancient pyramids. To capture the scope of their story, we combined cinematic drone work over historic sites with intimate interviews and vibrant cultural visuals. We also produced custom 3D animation of the Liina bottle and integrated cinematic effects to elevate the brand experience. The final film blended history, science, and entrepreneurship into a cultural narrative that positioned Liina as more than a beverage brand — it became a story of heritage, innovation, and discovery.

BAM Snacks (Mumbai, India → New York City)

CLIENT: BAM SNACKS

Founder Roxanne Irani created BAM Snacks by rediscovering her roots in India and the ancient Ayurvedic superfood Black Gram. She hired SMP Media to follow her journey from Mumbai to New York City — a cinematic story that wove together tradition, entrepreneurship, and cultural pride. The film introduced audiences to a modern snack and pasta company grounded in heritage while raising awareness for the values behind BAM: authenticity, health, and sustainability.

Castle Hill Cider

Set on a historic property in Keswick, Virginia, Castle Hill Cider blends heritage, craft, and modern innovation. SMP Media was invited to create a cinematic film showcasing how their cider is made — from orchard to glass. Expert cidermaker Don Whittaker guided us through each step of the process, giving audiences an inside look at the craftsmanship and care that define Castle Hill. With sweeping shots of the landscape, detailed process footage, and intimate storytelling, the film captured both the beauty of the site and the artistry behind every pour. The result was a piece that honored Castle Hill’s legacy while elevating their brand through stunning visuals

Beacon Story: Michael Stone

CLIENT: FOUNDATION FIGHTING BLINDNESS

As part of our long-term Beacon Story series with the Foundation Fighting Blindness, we profiled Michael Stone — an athlete who refused to let vision loss define his limits. After being diagnosed as legally blind, Michael found freedom and independence through running, completing more than 220 races since 2000. His story illustrates how physical activity can overcome self-imposed boundaries and societal expectations. Filmed in a personal, documentary style, the piece highlights both his athletic determination and his advocacy for others facing sight loss.

Wilson Football +Inked Magazine

In collaboration with Inked Magazine and Wilson Football, SMP Media traveled to Ada, Ohio — the town where every single NFL football is handcrafted. We documented the meticulous process of producing game balls, blending craftsmanship with tradition. To push the story further, we captured a unique collaboration in which an artist tattooed footballs for Marshawn Lynch, merging sports heritage with modern artistry. This was one of many projects we’ve produced for Inked Magazine, each campaign combining cultural storytelling with cinematic production to elevate brand narratives.
