Operations Onboarding Guide

Welcome to the team, Janell! This guide will walk you through the core systems we use to run the company and manage projects.

The Main Systems We Use

ClickUp (Project Management)
💰 QuickBooks Online (Finance)
💻 Google Chrome (Main Environment)

Most of your daily work will happen inside Google Chrome and Google Drive.

MacBook Air First-Time Setup

Timeline: ~10–15 minutes

Step 1

Turn On the Mac

Open the lid or press the power button.

Step 2-3

Language & Region

Choose English (US) and United States.

Step 4-7

Skip & Connect

  • Accessibility: Not Now
  • Connect to your home Wi-Fi
  • Migration Assistant: Not Now
Step 8-9

Account Setup

Apple ID: Set Up Later (or use personal if preferred).

Login Details: Full Name: Janell

This password unlocks the Mac and installs apps.

Step 10-14

System Preferences

  • Location Services: ON
  • Screen Time: Set Up Later
  • Appearance: Auto

Install Chrome

  1. Open Safari
  2. Visit google.com/chrome
  3. Download & Install

This connects your Mac to the business environment including Gmail, Drive, ClickUp, and AI tools.

Google Drive Setup

Installation

Download "Google Drive for Desktop" from drive.google.com.

"The SMP MEDIA Shared Drive will appear in Finder like a normal folder."

Storage Protocol

Everything lives inside the Shared Drive. This ensures files belong to the company, not individuals.
