LIINA

Liina’s founders set out to reinvent spirulina — an ancient Mayan superfood — by finally making it taste good. They asked SMP Media to follow them on a journey across Mexico City and San Diego, tracing spirulina’s origins from the canals of Xochimilco to the steps of ancient pyramids. To capture the scope of their story, we combined cinematic drone work over historic sites with intimate interviews and vibrant cultural visuals. We also produced custom 3D animation of the Liina bottle and integrated cinematic effects to elevate the brand experience. The final film blended history, science, and entrepreneurship into a cultural narrative that positioned Liina as more than a beverage brand — it became a story of heritage, innovation, and discovery.
